"I came across Smart Cat Studio on Facebook yesterday and was instantly drawn to it. The Gift for Kids app is wonderful. It took us a few minutes to figure out what to do but once we did, we were off and running. Miss Sphinx and I enjoyed the two mini-games that are included in the app called “A Magic Garden’ and “The Gifts Conveyor.” Both seem good for enhancing a child’s matching skills, logic ability, and spatial thinking skills. There is one mini-game that is coming soon according to the app. What’s cool is that the points your earn in the games can be used in the gift shop to buy cool virtual gifts! The app also saves your progress so you don’t have to start from zero each time you play. The only downfall to that would be if you have multiple children, they’d have to share points and scores as there is no option to create profiles. All in all, my Sphinx loves the app. She thinks it’s fun! We don’t celebrate Christmas but this app is still a winner in our book. It’s not overwhelmingly Christmasy so your children can enjoy it all year long. Counting Race This is a great math game for up to four players that works on skills of counting and addition from 1 to 10. You can set it for 1 to 5, or 1 to 10, depending on the skill level of the child playing.
